In 1998, First Biomedical was founded as an infusion pump rental company. The company’s leadership soon saw the value of having their own team of in-house biomedical technicians to service and repair their fleet of rental pumps. That team’s professional capabilities soon expanded into servicing and repairing infusion pumps for customers. Eventually, First Biomedical expanded its scope and hired technicians with professional field service experience from a variety of backgrounds – army, national service companies, hospitals. Today, First Biomedical is a nationally recognized leader in the preowned infusion pump market as well as being known locally for providing local medical organizations with dependable service and repairs at their own facilities, to fit their schedules.
First Biomedical employs more than 30 biomedical professionals in three full-service locations. We rent, lease, sell and repair infusion pumps, and our field service department provides a full range of biomedical service for infusion pumps, x-ray equipment, MRI’s, defibrillators, SCD's and most other general medical equipment.
First Biomedical’s service department offers several different programs, including contract and pay-per-visit. We can offer you the flexibility that best works with your organization.
Our biomedical technicians are factory trained and draw on years of industry experience to complete guaranteed preventative maintenance and repairs. We pride ourselves on our prompt turnaround and accurate repair estimates. Our technicians have experience servicing equipment by the larger medical equipment manufacturers. Many of our technicians have attended medical equipment schools and been OEM trained by the manufacturers we represent. Our technicians do cross-disciplinary training and are continually undergoing new training as technology evolves.
